Wander Alarm
Patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease or recovering from head injuries may have a tendency to wander. Wandering Patients solutions automatically notify nursing staff of unsafe patient wandering, thereby increasing both patient security and staff efficiency.
The Connexus Elpas solution equips each Alzheimer patient with a triple technology tag that immediately notifies staff when the patient wanders into a pre-defined unsafe area. The patient's location is reported in real-time to the nursing staff, and the door in closest proximity to the wandering patient is automatically locked.
The key features of Wandering Patients solutions include:
- Easy to wear watch-like tags increase patient safety.
- Immediate staff notification upon patients wandering into a pre-defined unsafe area, including audio-visual notifications (buzzers, warning lamps and panel notifications).
- Scalability - from a local door solution, requiring only readers and tags (without the need for computer or controllers), to facility-wide coverage in the framework of an EIRIS system solution.
- Easy integration with systems as nurse call, DECT Cordless Telephony, door locking, elevator control, etc.
Like all our systems, wander alarm systems can be combined with other Connexus products to provide an integrated communications solution customised to your specific requirements.
