Patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease or recovering from head injuries may have a tendency to wander. Wandering Patients solutions automatically notify nursing staff of unsafe patient wandering, thereby increasing both patient security and staff efficiency.
The Connexus Elpas solution equips each Alzheimer patient with a triple technology tag that immediately notifies staff when the patient wanders into a pre-defined unsafe area. The patient's location is reported in real-time to the nursing staff, and the door in closest proximity to the wandering patient is automatically locked.
