Personal Alarms

telePROTECT multi-functional personal alarm systems

Comprehensive solutions for protecting and communicating with Staff including On-Site Location and Incident Management facilities.

The Concept

telePROTECT is a radio based system, providing security, reassurance and protection for any staff working in high risk, hazardous, or lone worker environments. It offers an instant and reliable means of raising personal alarms and in some configurations will identify the actual on-site location of the incident.
There are a number of telePROTECT packages that can be tailored to fit individual requirements, from simple button alarms, to systems that provide one or two way speech, text and location functions. Intrinsic safe options are also available.

Applications

The telePROTECT platform is very flexible and lends itself to a wide range of working environments. Although ideal for large organizations or sites with complex health and safety conditions, there are plenty of ‘mini-system’ options that protect just one or two people.

Cross System Integration

telePROTECT can be used as a stand alone alarm solution, but users are increasingly opting to integrate their alarm systems with other communications platforms. telePROTECT’s open architecture enables it to link seamlessly to a very wide range of ascom and third party equipment from existing pabx ; paging, fire panels and mobile communications, to hard wired auto dialers, sirens, and lights.
With telePROTECT, there is no longer the need for staff protection to be a function isolated from the mainstream communications of an organisation.

telePROTECT + DECT

Ascom Wireless Solutions have developed a sophisticated DECT platform ideal for commercial, industrial and institutional use. Its prime function is to deliver high quality mobile voice and text messaging across a site, but within its design there are dedicated alarm handsets that have similar characteristics to telePROTECT.

Elise Pro Monitoring System

The Ascom Elise Pro software application, enables 24/7 monitoring of Lone Workers direct from a desktop PC. Running on most Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems, it provides a comprehensive tracking and response solution, capable of covering even the largest and most complex sites. Central Control, based on the PC, acknowledges receives alarms from handsets then directs, coordinates and monitors the appropriate response.

Connexus Red Alert

Red Alert helps staff feel more secure knowing that in an emergency they can summon assistance at the touch of a button on their personal transmitter.

Red Alert is a system that has been designed to give staff the flexibility to remotely activate an alarm using an infra-red transmitter. Commonly used by medical staff as a personal attack alarm system as well as a medical emergency alarm system. Any member of staff carrying an alarm transmitter can simply press the alarm button. This will send out an infra-red signal that floods the room with its particular coded light. In more urgent cases it may be easier to pull the transmitter from the clothing clip and throw it to the floor. It is sturdy enough to withstand this and will carry on transmitting.

When the receiver senses the coded signal it relays the information back to the control unit (Hub). The Hub, seeing that a call has been made, instantly identifies the exact location and then transmits that information back out to the system. It can send the information to indicator panels or, via radio signals, to pocket pagers carried by key personnel. The location of the call is displayed on the indicator panels and pagers.

Like all our systems, Personal Alarm Systems can be combined with other Connexus products to provide an integrated communications solution customised to your specific requirements.
